Raymond is popularly also known as paloda grey marble. The base of the Raymond marble is light grey with diagonally cross veins and of dark grey and light black colour. Raymond marble is very fine grained marble. The patterns of slabs will vary from block to block depending upon the way the block has been sawn and the way the blocks has been extracted from mines.
